now for some sweet, sweet analisis. The first thing, is indeed the Complete word that is read. That of course, as well as basket, and then the first panel. Ah, the first panel, is like the most typical of simbolic basket images. pose of guy throwing ball up high. and the timer, showing indeed the last, crucial seconds of the game. BUT! we have already been informed of a "completion". And that of course to us, means victory.
But as we keep reading these sequencial images, we notice that, to our great dismay, has indeed missed the basket, not only that, but it has missed by quite a distance. Ah yes, our viewer has now noticed, well... just maybe as they might be reading this too damn rapidly. and if so, the third panel will indeed shock them for it is a different conclusion as of what it was told to be expected. yes. but I must inform you, that this tecnique was indeed accidental, and was only noticed with hindsight. Ive played basketball in highschool, and hitting the ball over there is like really bad.
And so, we have reached our conclusion, the ball has missed. the protagonist has erred. And as to heal the newly formed wound, we shall apply the woderous healing of salt. That is to say, the ball will hit him to add insult to injury. And also, its expressionsssss timesssss! I really like only doing one line, instead of the various ones that were tried in the firstest of panels. It would seem to be of the most simplest of manner, that way to explain a situation, object, person, or location. It makes it seem to clean and simple. I just like it. That would be the reason why the second and third panels are indeed done with single lines. oh, and putting a kinda transperant texture behind the panels helps to make em feel full, as it works to make a difference with the background. the contrast is that which is seeketh here, and seems indeed to work.
